Fencing this close to the coast is not the same job it is inland. The afternoon sea breeze carries salt several kilometres in from Ocean Reef and Burns Beach, and it goes to work on cheap fixings long before it touches the sheeting. The ground is the other half of it: most of the northern corridor is sand over limestone, which digs easily but gives a post almost nothing to hold onto unless the hole is deep enough and properly concreted.
