Ocean Reef is about as exposed as this service area gets. The sea breeze comes in off the water most afternoons through summer carrying salt with it, and it finds the weakest fitting on a fence long before it touches the sheeting. Fences here also take the brunt of the winter fronts, which is why a good share of our Ocean Reef work is storm repair. Everything we install here goes in with coastal-grade hardware, and we would rather over-spec the fixings than come back in four years.
The fittings are what fail first this close to the water. We do not economise on them here.
Blown-out sheets and pushed-over posts are common along this stretch. We can put the damage in writing for insurance.
